The Supreme Court accepted the state's position and increased criminal Nidal Abu Latif's sentence by a year and a half. Abu Latif, a member of the Abu Latif crime family, was convicted of extortion among other offenses. He is expected to serve 66 months in prison. In 2024, Abu Latif was convicted by the Tel Aviv District Court of aggravated assault under aggravating circumstances, providing unlicensed credit services, tax offenses and obstruction of justice.
