|
The Southern District Attorney's Office filed an indictment with the Be'er Sheva District Court against four Negev residents and a resident of Yatta in the Hebron district, for smuggling weapons across the border between Jordan and the West Bank. The defendants are Wahel al-Tzaraya, Madyan al-Tzaraya, Zayed Abu Guayed, Ali al-Saraya and Natzar Nagada. The investigation revealed that they were involved in several smuggling operations from the Jordanian border using drones, during which they smuggled approximately 44 handguns into Israel and approximately 120 kilograms of hashish into Jordanian territory. The investigation further revealed that some of the smuggled weapons, including M-16 rifles and ammunition, were sold to a West Bank resident, who distributed them throughout the area.
