Northern Command Chief, Major General Uri Gordin, conducted a situation assessment in Majdal Shams, where he said: "We are operating resolutely in As-Suwayda, striking Syrian regime targets, increasing pressure and the pace of attacks. We attacked Damascus as well and will continue to strike in southern Syria." Gordin emphasized that "the disturbances in the border area divert operational effort from the offensive."
