British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced outside the official residence at 10 Downing Street in London that he is resigning from his position as leader of the Labour Party – and thus also from his position as prime minister. "Party members have made their voices heard, and I am responding to them in good faith," Starmer said. "I will resign as leader of the Labour Party, but will continue to serve as prime minister until my successor is appointed."
