Shin Bet and police announced that in August, Maor Kringel (26), a Holon resident, was arrested on suspicion of security offenses related to contact with Iranian intelligence agents. The investigation revealed that Kringel was in contact with Iranian intelligence and carried out missions photographing military bases and public places in Israel. During the 'Swords of Iron' war, he initiated contact with Iranians to perform additional missions. It was also revealed that Kringel was in contact with individuals identifying themselves as Iranian intelligence service operatives who work to recruit Israelis. He attempted to recruit additional people, and as the investigation developed, another suspect was arrested, Tal Amram, 26, a Holon resident, on suspicion of contact with a foreign agent and carrying out missions under his direction. An indictment will be filed against him.
