The founder and chairman of the Druze community's 'Covenant of Brothers' party, Brigadier General (res.) Wagdi Sarhan, announced his decision not to run in the upcoming Knesset elections. According to him, "We worked tirelessly to create a proper, values-based and meaningful political connection. The large parties see such a connection as a risk rather than an opportunity, while in the legitimate space of the small parties, the options were limited and the conditions for a joint and equal run agreement were not created."
