The prosecution filed an indictment with the Jerusalem District Court against Liel Ifargan for aggravated murder of seven-year-old Hillel Mordechai Dadon and attempted murder of his cousin, after he stabbed the two at a birthday party in a yard in Beit Shemesh. According to the indictment, last month the two children were playing in a pool in the yard. Ifargan, 26, ran out with a knife from the nearby housing unit where he lives. He stabbed Hillel in the chest and his cousin in the neck with intent to kill them and then fled back to the housing unit and cleaned the blood off the knife.
