Democrats leader Yair Golan condemned the arson attacks in the Palestinian village of Jilud near Nablus and said that "the violence and pogroms in Judea and Samaria do not occur in a vacuum. When a government creates an atmosphere of lawlessness and encourages extremists to ignite the territory – it bears responsibility for the bloodshed." Knesset Member Gilad Kariv also commented: "Extremist settlers act as masters of the land and fuel war in the territories. Smotrich and his partners have a clear interest in inflaming the territories." Blue and White leader Benny Gantz added: "The rioters are harming the State of Israel and the settlers, the vast majority of whom oppose this madness."
