Sources close to Hamas told ynet that Hamas's response to U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff's framework included demands for several amendments to the plan, including a guarantee for a 'serious American effort' to advance negotiations to end the war, changes to the timeline for hostage release, determining IDF positions in the Strip, and agreement on quantities and methods of humanitarian aid distribution to Gaza. According to these sources, Hamas demanded that humanitarian aid enter the Strip in a manner similar to the previous agreement, rather than through the Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) which began operating this week.
