During the visit, the prime minister received an operational briefing on the force's activities and held a discussion with the fighters at the base. Netanyahu said during the visit that "I have set a simple goal: the goal of the Navy, of the State of Israel, is to secure the shipping routes and freedom of maritime trade, which are so important to the State of Israel."
