Intelligence officer removed from reserves after calling for combat refusal

Michael Majer, an officer in the Military Intelligence Directorate, was dismissed from reserve service after posting on the X platform that he refuses to take part in combat in Gaza. In a tweet, he harshly criticized the country's leadership and explained that he was not willing to obey decisions that he saw as contrary to the national interest. The IDF confirmed that Majer had been permanently dismissed. In the post, he wrote that "the thing that will most help protect my people now is to refuse to take part in the fighting in the service of a bunch of filthy traitors and in complete opposition to the interests of the people of Israel."
