Egypt has refused to send its forces into the Gaza Strip following the end of the war, clarifying that stabilizing the situation there "is an internal Palestinian matter," a senior official told the Egyptian channel Al Qahera News.
"There are no discussions in Egypt regarding Israeli oversight of the Rafah crossing. Egypt insists on the complete withdrawal of the Israeli military from the Palestinian side of Rafah," the official added.
