Israel dispatches rescue team to Thailand following earthquake

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has instructed National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi to dispatch an expert rescue delegation to Thailand following a major earthquake in the region, officials said Saturday.
The 22-member team, led by Col. (res.) Yossi Pinto, commander of Israel’s national rescue unit, will depart at 10:30 p.m. and is tasked with aiding in population-based rescue intelligence and engineering assessments at collapsed sites.
