Palestinian teen arrested with large knife taped to body in alleged stabbing plot

Jerusalem Border Police officers arrested Saturday afternoon a 17-year-old Palestinian residing illegally in Israel who allegedly plotted to carry out a stabbing attack.
The teenager, a resident of the Palestinian town of Bir Zeit north of Ramallah, was arrested near the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem's Old City after raising the suspicions of the Border Police officers. He was found to have a large knife taped to his body. He was later taken for interrogation by the police, where the suspicion that he intended to carry out a stabbing attack in the area was reinforced. (Liran Tamari)
