A Chabad emissary stationed in Abu Dhabi has been missing for several days, sparking concerns of a possible terror-related incident, Israeli and Emirati officials confirmed Saturday.
Israeli security services are coordinating with authorities in the UAE to investigate the unusual case, while the emissary’s family reported losing contact with him in recent days. Efforts to locate him are ongoing.
The incident comes just over four years after the UAE signed the Abraham Accords, normalizing ties with Israel alongside Bahrain, Morocco and Sudan. Authorities have not yet released further details about the case.
