Agriculture Minister Avi Dichter warned on Monday against the possible damages that could occur in Israel should an earthquake hit the region, after a 7.9 magnitude quake struck Turkey overnight.
“We should always remember it could happen here as well. Construction standards have improved over the years, but this isn’t enough,” Dichter said.
