The IDF announced on Wednesday that Nahal Brigade forces completed a dayslong counterterrorism operation in Gaza City's Zeitoun district.
The army said that during the operation, launched over the weekend, Israeli forces eliminated dozens of terrorists in face-to-face clashes and airstrikes, destroyed sites used for terrorist activity and seized large amounts of weapons, including dozens of AK-47 rifles, magazines, grenades and Hamas intelligence management assets.
Acting on prior intelligence, soldiers discovered a Hamas weapons workshop near the Zeitoun School. The cache included gun barrels, AK-47s, ammunition, explosives and equipment for manufacturing rockets and rocket launchers. After the completion of the mission in the Zeitoun district, the Nahal Brigade combat team is preparing for further operations.
