Air defenses shoot down threat approaching southern Israel; air raid alerts activated across Haifa after Lebanon rocket fire

Iranian missile fire triggered air raid sirens in Dimona and the Dead Sea area in southern Israel on Monday. The incoming threat was intercepted by air defenses. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.
Earlier, air raid sirens sounded in the northern coastal city of Haifa and the surrounding bay area after multiple rockets were launched from Lebanon, with loud explosions heard across the region.

All incoming threats were either intercepted by air defenses or landed in open areas. There were no reports of damage or injuries.
Meanwhile, sirens also sounded in a series of communities along the Lebanon border, warning of a suspected drone infiltration. That incident also ended without reports of damage or casualties.
Elsewhere, separate sirens were activated overnight in the Upper Galilee communities of Ghajar and Moshav Dovev.
Earlier, the IDF said the air force had intercepted two drones launched from Yemen after sirens sounded in and around the Red Sea resort city of Eilat.
