In an interview with Ynet Radio, Knesset member Ariel Kallner of the Likud party referred to statements by journalist Boaz Golan on Channel 14, who said regarding the incident at the Egyptian border in which a male and female soldier from the Caracal Battalion were killed that "a male and female soldier alone, 12 hours a night, in advance there is a sense of fault." Kallner said that "I feel very uncomfortable. We have to be careful with their dignity, but it is appropriate to discuss the question and it cannot be whitewashed." According to Kallner, "the fact that a boy and a girl serve together and are together in an isolated place should be examined from the operational aspects." (Sharon Kidon, Ishay Shnerb)
