A 17-year-old Israeli was rescued Tuesday evening after finding himself in the middle of a minefield in the Golan Heights.
The teenager was extracted from the danger zone with help from the IDF Combat Engineering Corps.
The territory, which was the center of several wars between Israel and Syria, has been left strewn with deadly anti-personnel landmines decades after the cessation of hostilities.
