The military police released on Wednesday three IDF soldiers who were arrested last week on suspicion of gang rape of a female soldier after the complainant withdrew her allegations a day earlier.
The soldiers argued during their interrogation that the sexual relations with the soldier, which had occurred last month at the base where they serve, were conducted with full consent. The incident was also recorded by one of the soldiers, with the video distributed among troops through WhatsApp.
They also claimed the recording was made with the knowledge and full consent of the female soldier. The offenses attributed to soldiers are rape, indecent acts, and one of them is suspected of drug trafficking. The military has yet to decide if the soldiers will be punished in any way.
