A convoy of 25 trucks was attacked near the eastern Syrian city of Al-Bukamal as it crossed the border with Iraq, Saudi news network Al Arabiya reported Sunday night.
According to the report, at least three loud blasts shook the area and aircraft fired warning shots at the convoy, which is linked to pro-Iranian militias, before the attack, allowing the drivers to escape.
According to the Syrian opposition war monitor the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, aircraft supposedly belonging to the U.S. coalition forces were observed in the area of the attack.
