Lapid and Herzog express sorrow over death of former Japanese PM

Prime Minister Yair Lapid sends condolences to the family of former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe, who was shot on Friday morning.
"The State of Israel mourns the death of former Japanese PM Shinzo Abe following today’s horrific attack," wrote Lapid on his Twitter.
"He was a fierce & distinguished leader and a key architect of modern Israel-Japan relations. Sending condolences to his family, loved ones and the Japanese people."
President Isaac Herzog also posted on his Twitter following the tragic event.
"Horrified by the despicable murder of Shinzo Abe, one of Japan's most preeminent leaders in modern times," wrote Herzog.
