Shas Party head says 2 months to exempt Haredim from draft or go to new elections

The chairman of the Haredi Orthodox Shas Party issued an ultimatum to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding the passage of draft exemption law within two months and "if not, we will go to elections," he said Tuesday evening in an interview with Kol Berama. Deri said that "the coalition leaders and the prime minister are determined to regulate the status of Torah students. They have two months to regulate it, that's the test. If it's not regulated, we'll go to elections."
