Education Minister Yifat Shasha-Biton referred Tuesday to Moderna CEO Stéphane Bancel's claim that the currently utilized COVID-19 vaccines are unlikely to be as effective against the Omicron variant.
"We have to be very careful and wait for more information. But when the warning comes from a commercial company, that is when I become extra cautions," said the minister.
"In the end, there is the position of the experts, of the professionals, and of all the medical people, and I think we should stick to that position."
