Report: Egypt agrees to temporarily host Gaza evacuees in Sinai

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has approved a plan to temporarily relocate up to 500,000 Gaza residents to a designated city in northern Sinai, Hezbollah-affiliated Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar reported Friday morning. The plan would require Egypt to open its border to Gazans seeking to leave the enclave.
The report also noted concern from Jordan, which expressed willingness to accept only wounded refugees and only for a limited period.
