Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu spoke by telephone with Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Thursday, the first public conversation between the foreign ministers of Israel and Turkey in 13 years.
According to Foreign Minister's Office, Çavuşoğlu asked that his talk with Lapid be treated as a courtesy call.
Lapid's offcie added that the two discussed Lapid's health after his short stint with COVID, as well as the relations between the two countries.
