Egypt was preparing for a mass exodus of civilians from Gaza into its territory early in 2024, the Hezbollah affiliated al Akhbar news paper reported on Saturday. According to the paper Egypt was discussing possible solutions with other Arab nations who would be willing to take in Palestinians allowed to leave the Strip through the Rafah crossing including offering scholarships for Palestinian students to study in Europe, Turkey and the United States who would be allowed to travel there with their families.
