The IDF Paratroopers Brigade concluded its role in the renewed raid in northern Gaza's Jabaliya on Tuesday night, exiting the area.
The 7th Armored Brigade's combat team, comprising armor, engineering and infantry battalions from the Paratroopers and Givati brigades, has been engaged in the heart of the northern Gaza city for over two and a half weeks. This operation follows Hamas' efforts to rebuild its capabilities in the region.
In the densely populated and heavily booby-trapped area, Israeli soldiers have been eliminating terrorists and targeting terror infrastructure. According to the IDF, during a brigade-level attack on a new sector, the combat team raided dozens of rocket launch sites, destroyed the launchers and neutralized the sites. Soldiers from the engineering and armor battalions discovered and demolished several tunnels, while Rotem Battalion soldiers raided a combat site near a mosque, uncovering dozens of weapons, bomb-making components in suitcases, grenades, military equipment and ammunition.
