Sergeant Eytan Fichman, a fighter in the 82nd Battalion in the 7th Brigade of the Armored Corps, is the IDF soldier who collapsed and died during a drill in northern Israel, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit announced on Wednesday.
An preliminary probe of the incident found that Fichman hit his head inside a tank and collapsed due to an unknown reason a short time later.
The circumstances of his death are most likely either a medical condition or a training accident and are still under investigation.
His funeral will take place at 6pm Wednesday in the military cemetery in Be'er Sheva.
