Central Elections Committee Chairman Judge Noam Sohlberg ordered Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and his Religious Zionist Party to remove an AI-generated video they published.
The video shows Yeshar! party chairman Gadi Eisenkot shaking hands with Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, with Ra'am lawmaker Mansour Abbas later joining them.
Sohlberg ruled that "the segment in the video presents an event that did not occur but appears realistic. It shows a political connection between Eisenkot and Abbas, a connection that does not exist, and therefore may mislead on this matter."
