Russia used chemical weapons against Ukraine during the war between the countries. This was reported to Reuters by the Dutch Defense Minister and the head of military intelligence, who added that Dutch intelligence uncovered evidence of a Russian program to create "large-scale" choking agents that are prohibited worldwide. According to Reuters, the chemical weapons non-proliferation agency has not yet been asked to investigate the disclosure. Russia has previously rejected similar accusations of using chemical weapons in military confrontations.
