Steve Witkoff, U.S. President Donald Trump's special envoy to the Middle East, spoke several times with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi – since Israel launched the Swords of Iron operation – in an attempt to end the conflict, Reuters reported citing three diplomats. According to them, during the talks it was clarified that Tehran would not return to nuclear deal negotiations until Israel stops its attacks.
