During a single evening, three organ donation consents were received from Shaare Zedek, Nahariya and Soroka hospitals. The transplanting hospitals: Schneider, Hadassah and Beilinson. The National Transplant Center says that three consents in one day have not been recorded in years. Dr. Tamar Ashkenazi, director of the National Transplant Center: "This is a moving and significant event that illustrates the power of the decision to donate organs and the ability to turn a moment of loss into a gift of life for others."
