Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara held a discussion with IDF representatives regarding the implementation of the Supreme Court ruling on the conscription law. A statement issued on her behalf said that "the IDF presented a plan for increased equitable enforcement against draft evaders starting this month, including increased activity and arrests of evaders at border crossings, checkpoints and random encounters with Israel Police, as well as additional proactive operations." Among the measures presented by the IDF: shortening the time until issuing a warrant and declaring draft evasion; increased enforcement at border crossings, checkpoints and during random arrests; intelligence-directed enforcement operations; and the development of "detention solutions."
