US poll: Iran war less popular than Vietnam and Iraq wars

|
The war with Iran is not as popular among Americans as the Vietnam War in the 1970s and the Iraq War at the height of violence between the sides in 2006. This is according to a poll by The Washington Post, ABC network and the Ipsos Institute. According to the poll, 61% of respondents believe that the use of military force in Iran was a mistake, while only 20% believed that American actions in Iran were successful. The poll found that among supporters of U.S. President Donald Trump, respondents who identified as Republicans, support for the war remained high, with 79% responding that it was the right decision. The Iraq War reached similar levels of lack of support only after three years from when it broke out – when 59% believed the war was a mistake.
