Yesh Atid sends warning letter to Smotrich: Remove AI video of Amit and AG

|
Yesh Atid, headed by Gadi Eisenkot, sent a warning letter to Religious Zionism and party chairman Bezalel Smotrich, demanding the immediate removal of an AI video depicting Supreme Court President Yitzhak Amit and Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara as protesters holding signs against Smotrich and being dragged by police through burning streets. Yesh Atid demanded the video be removed by 3:00 p.m. and wrote that "this is dangerous incitement that crosses every red line." The letter argues that the video constitutes a criminal offense of contempt of court under Section 255 of the Penal Code, which prohibits publishing statements about a judge in connection with their duties with the intent to harm their status, cast suspicion on them or denigrate judicial proceedings.
