Ben-Gvir accuses Attorney General: 'Using public funds to defend against her dismissal'

|
National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir sent a letter to Acting Civil Service Commissioner Prof. Daniel Hershkowitz, Government Secretary attorney Yossi Fuchs and Justice Minister Yariv Levin, accusing Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara of "using public funds to defend against her dismissal." In the letter, Ben-Gvir claimed that "the Attorney General disregards her own directives" and is using the High Court of Justice department in the State Attorney's Office to represent her in petitions seeking to end her tenure. According to him, this constitutes a conflict of interest, as the State Attorney's Office is subordinate to the Attorney General, and this contradicts the directives of the Attorney General's office itself.
