Yisrael Beytenu to AG: Investigate if Netanyahu Withheld Information from Documents Preceding Oct. 7

The Yisrael Beytenu party has appealed to Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, demanding a thorough investigation into suspicions of criminal offenses by Prime Minister Netanyahu following the alleged submission of false information to the State Comptroller and the public regarding the Oct. 7 failures. The statement read: "As revealed in journalist Ronen Bergman's investigative report in Yedioth Ahronoth, Netanyahu presented a partial and distorted picture of security documents that preceded the massacre, omitting warnings and assessments. Among other things, omissions from an intelligence document just four days before the massacre were exposed. Section 239 of the Penal Code stipulates: anyone who knowingly submits a false statement shall be liable to three years' imprisonment."
