U.S. President Donald Trump addressed his plan for the Gaza Strip during his visit to Qatar, stating: 'I have certain ideas for Gaza, and I think they are very good - that the U.S. should intervene and make Gaza part of the free world. I would be proud if the U.S. takes the Strip and turns it into a 'zone of freedom,' allows good things to happen and puts people in homes where they can be protected.' He added, 'The Gaza problem has never been solved. Hamas will need to be dealt with. October 7 was one of the worst days in world history, not just in this region.'
