Former Ashdod Mayor Arie Azoulay has died at the age of 93. He served as the third mayor of Ashdod between 1983-1989. Additionally, he worked as a teacher and high school principal in the city and served as a Jewish Agency representative in South American countries, and was among those who laid the groundwork for the capture of mass murderer Adolf Eichmann in Argentina.
