Netanyahu slams AG for interference in police after she blocks removal of senior commander

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, criticized Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara after she blocked the removal of the police commander of the Tel Aviv sector by National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.
Ben-Gvir slammed Amichai Eshed for what he considered a lax response to demonstrators protesting the government's overhaul of the judicial system. Eshed heard he was to be re-assigned to a different post, during mass protests last week.
"Will someone other than the elected government, act on the threat from Iran?" Netanyahu asked at the start of the weekly cabinet meeting.
He repeated calls for all parties to reach an agreement on the government's legislative push but said the coalition received a mandate from the voters, to proceed.
