Police: 5 arrested at Knesset during protest against budget transfer

|
Police arrested five protesters at the entrance to the Knesset, who protested the passage of the budget overnight, which included the transfer of 790 million shekels to ultra-Orthodox parties through a maneuver that caused the opposition to vote in favor of the move. According to police, a handful of protesters "entered the external area under the control of the Knesset compound and were required to leave it. After they did not comply with the officers' instructions, a dispersal order was given by a police officer." The five detainees are suspected of disturbing public order and disobeying police orders. Police added that the protesters left the area.
