Various Israeli sites are currently offline due to a widespread cyber attack that began early Wednesday, and was perpetrated by an Iraqi hacker group calling itself "ALtahrea Team."
Among the effected sites are the Channel 9 website, the Aviation Authority website, as well as the website of the Kan broadcasting corporation.
ALtahrea Team -- identified as Shiites from Iraq -- claim that the attack was carried out in retaliation for the assassination of Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani.
