Combat engineers from the elite Yahalom unit, under the 252nd Division, destroyed a Hamas tunnel in northern Gaza stretching approximately 1.2 kilometers in length and 20 meters deep, the IDF said on Sunday.
During the operation, troops uncovered a nearby weapons depot containing around 20 explosive devices, an anti-tank missile launcher and other arms.
Additionally, Israeli forces eliminated terrorists identified by drone surveillance as they attempted to plant explosives near troops on the ground, the military said.
