Google on Friday dismissed an employee who disrupted a speech by the company's CEO in Israel, Barak Regev, during the Calcalist conference in New York.
The employee, an engineer for Google's cloud platform, shouted at Regev that he "refuses to build technology that drives genocide and apartheid," and was removed from the venue by security.
Google said the employee was fired for "unacceptable" behavior violating company policies. (Daniel Edelson, New York)
