The Tel Aviv municipality responded to the petition of the Rosh Yehudi organization against the municipality's decision to prohibit it from holding events in public spaces during Sukkot following a separate prayer service on Yom Kippur. The municipality claimed that "the petition should be dismissed as there was no flaw in its decision," in a written response to the court. "The municipality is authorized to manage the public space and exercise discretion regarding it, and as a general rule does not allow private entities to hold events that are not intended for the general public and exclude a part of the general public or if the requested use will lead to a disruption in public life, disturbances, conflicts and various frictions."
