Reservist injured in Lebanon dies of wounds

Master sergeant (res.) Yedidia Bloch, who was seriously injured last week in a battle in southern Lebanon, died of his wounds in the hospital, the IDF announced Tuesday evening. Bloch, 31, a resident of Mevo Horon in Binyamin, left behind his wife Sapir, who was eight months pregnant, his parents and seven brothers and sisters. The head of the council Regional Benjamin Israel Gantz paid tribute to him: "All these days we prayed for her dear friend. He went into battle with dedication and lived a noble life, and thus he fought and died for the people of Israel and for its complete victory. Thanks to him, the people of Israel will overcome and win."
