Ultra-Orthodox extremists block Highway 4, causing traffic jams

|
Four days after the riots in Jerusalem, ultra-Orthodox extremists are protesting again and disrupting traffic on Highway 4 in protest of the arrests of young ultra-Orthodox men for failing to report to military draft orders. They are also protesting the ultra-Orthodox parties' agreement to discuss the military exemption law in the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, which in its current form is called the "Bismuth Law," and in their view, the very discussion of it is a surrender. Access roads to Highway 4 from Em HaMoshavot and from the corners of Halutzim and Aharonovitz were closed to traffic by police after protesters arrived at the location and began blocking the Geha Interchange.
