Strike at Ben-Gurion airport creates massive lines at check-in; flights won't leave until evening

|
Long lines were recorded at Ben Gurion airport following the announcement of a general strike in the economy. Hundreds of passengers are waiting at the check-in counters that hardly move. Occasionally some passengers are allowed to deposit their luggage and proceed to duty free, but as of this hour there are no flights and the labor unions claim that the strike will continue until the evening, when only a few flights will be able to depart. At the same time, the luggage conveyors are not moving and dozens of pieces of luggage have accumulated in the departures hall.
